CondoCell is a robust isolation box for any sensitive cell culture in T-flasks, petri dishes or multi-well plates. It fully captures the environment of any incubator or hypoxia workstation making non-stop, uninterrupted culture possible. CondoCell, when used in conjunction with a workstation, helps to avoid any disruption in the delivery of temperature, humidity, and gas (CO2 and/or O2) to the culture micro-environment. The CondoCell also has the added benefit of preventing cross contamination with other cultures in the chamber.

For researchers, continuous control over the microenvironment in both culturing and observation means that cells are never subjected to fluctuations in gas, temperature, and humidity. The CondoCell provides true in vivo-like cell growth conditions and has been described as luxury accommodation for cells.

Full physiological control

Whenever an incubator door is opened, CO2, O2, temperature, and humidity are drastically augmented, and it then takes several minutes for the incubator to readjust to the set point levels. This is compounded when one thinks about how many times an incubator door may be opened in a day.

The CondoCell maintains key environmental conditions your cells require for survival when threatened by ambient conditions from outside of the culture environment. You should not have to worry that a change in atmosphere is affecting your results, and with the CondoCell, you will never have to again.

Compact and stackable

The small size of the CondoCell (and add-ons) means it will be able to fit into most incubators or workstations. Condo’s are also stackable, saving even more workspace for users. 

Short term hypoxia

With the Rapid Purge Unit (RPU) add-on, oxygen can be set as low as 1%. This is an affordable and quick way to create a low oxygen atmosphere for cells for short term hypoxia studies.
