Live Demonstration – Understanding the Complimentary Nature of BLI, Ultrasound, and MRI for Preclinical Imaging
During this full day live demonstration event we will be imaging the same mice using bioluminescence, ultrasound, and MRI to show the complimentary nature of these imaging modalities in tumor imaging. Additionally, cardiovascular function will be examined using high frequency ultrasound, and normal brain anatomy will be examined using MRI.
During breaks the other two imaging modalities, not being demonstrated, will be discussed briefly.
You may join during the specific imaging sessions you are interested in, however **Please note – this live demonstration cannot be recorded, so you must attend the event live**
9:00am – 11:00am EDT – Bioluminescence imaging using Vilber’s Newton 7.0 optical imaging system; various orthotopic tumor models will be available.
11:00am – 1:00pm EDT – High-frequency ultrasound imaging using S-Sharp’s Prospect T1 system; various orthotopic tumor models will be available, along with a normal mouse for cardiac imaging.
1:00pm – 2:00pm EDT – Imaging Break: brief overview of PET/CT and Fluorescence in vivo endomicroscopy
2:00pm – 4:00pm EDT – MRI imaging using Aspect Imaging’s compact M3 system; various orthotopic tumor models will be available, along with a normal mouse for anatomical brain imaging
